HISTORY

Busselton Fire Station is designed in a low-key interpretation of the inter-war functionalist style of architecture. It was built in 1936 and was actively used as a Fire Station up until 1990! After this time it was home to local art groups and charity shops. Over its life the Firestation has been intimately bound up with the provision of social welfare. The building has catered to the needs of the community in so many ways, acting as a social hub for many organisations.

Through its reincarnation as a small bar we bring the local elements back to life with support of local beer, wine and food producers, and hopefully it can once again be of central importance to the people of Busselton and all those who pass through!
